(Citizenship) The truth according to Wikipedia

(Citizenship) The truth according to Wikipedia
Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, claims to offer the sum of all human knowledge at the click of your mouse. Its entries are in the hands of its millions of users, regardless of their level of expertise. Information has become democratized.
Yet an increasing number of critics, including Wikipedia founder Larry Sanger, are venting their worries about a Wiki-driven society. Does the Wikipedisation of the world erode our concept of truth and the credibility of information? Does the world need a  return of expertise and authority?  Both sides of the debate are put forcefully in this programme.

We see glimpses of new developments on the Internet that might turn the tide. Mahalo.com is a young company that favors human research over indifferent algorithms; Mahalo even pays its researchers. Is this the beginning of a counter-revolution?
