| How do Israeli pilots tasked with bombing targets in civilian areas feel about their missions? We profile the elite Cobra unit and hear from those who have defied orders to kill. "I can't even count the number of times I was called upon to fire and didn't", states Ronni, commander of the elite Cobra unit. "They are numerous." As well as serving in the IDF, he works as a paediatrician, treating Palestinian children. His colleagues are also troubled by their actions. "When I'm at home, I think about those people. I feel very, very sorry for them", admits Yoav. Others, like Alon, have gone further, signing a letter calling on pilots to take responsibly for their assignments. It caused an outcry and cost him his job. But he has no regrets. As pilot Yigal Shochat argues: "If orders are immoral, pilots should refuse."
