(History) The concise history of WW1

(History) The concise history of WW1
A superb two DVD set charting the major events and key personalities that forged the course of the Great War
Made up entirely of period footage, this two-DVD set follows the war all the way from the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand to the peace signing in Versailles five years later. The scale and intensity of the conflict were unprecedented, with more men fighting and more casualties in action than any prior human conflict. New technologies - machine guns, better artillery, advanced logistics, poison gas, aerial warfare and submarines - increased the scale of the carnage. The war claimed over forty million casualties, including twenty million civilian and military dead.
