The title comprises a twenty-minute film drama with pupil activities. It can be delivered over one or two lessons. The film concerns a young girl called Max who is desperate to be a ‘somebody’ and naively equates status with money. Max is a small time drug dealer, working for Steve and his jealous girlfriend, Carla. However, when Max is unable to meet her deadline and pay what she owes Steve and Carla, she finds herself lost in a circle of lies, deceit and physical threats from which there is no easy way out. This PSHE resource is aimed at promoting analysis and discussion on why young people become involved with drugs and how their involvement affects those around them. The teacher book contains delivery notes and pupil activities that focus on examining actions and consequences regarding involvement with legal and illegal drugs.
